A COMMUNITY COLLABORATION

Be Scottsdale Fit is an initiative that grew from the original Fit City Scottsdale.  Todd Davis, the Fun Coach, has developed a program which will inform, educate and inspire people to get out and stay fit, and have fun.  We have joined with several community partners to promote and connect people to health, wellness, recreation and leisure activities all while improving the quality of life in the Scottsdale area. The Scottsdale Business Community, Scottsdale Community College and Scottsdale Parks and Recreation are our Community Partners in this initiative to help promote fitness and fun for our community. The objective is to create awareness of parks and outdoors space to walk, hike and bike; fitness events to run, walk or get muddy; festivals to enjoy, listen and explore; classes and trainers to workout, exercise and improve fitness; sports facilities to play volleyball, softball, tennis, golf, soccer, bowl and compete.

As part of our initiative we will be providing “Be Scottsdale Fit Wellness Workshops” throughout our community to help participants discover the value of integrating recreation, fitness and community events into their life schedule. People who stay fit, enjoy interests and share time with friends pursuing being FIT & FUN, will enjoy the rewards and be happier in life. Did you know if you stop to workout, walk, run or play at least three times a week, you will be more engaged at work and home? Be Scottsdale Fit and make sure you enjoy life all day long!

Join us and become a Be Fit Sponsor and market your business or services to the Scottsdale area and both business employees and people residing in the area. Our sponsors will also assist in providing wellness workshops to the community including improving the quality of life for non-profit employees, low income adults and those who feel life is out of balance.

Having more FUN! This is the goal of our Be Scottsdale Fit Director, Todd Davis, “The Fun Coach”. Todd has been in the Recreation industry since 1975, and his diverse professional background includes;

  • Coordinator with Scottsdale Parks and Recreation
  • Founding Team Play USA, VolunTEAMism and Fun Coach USA
  • Teaching Recreation in Community Colleges
  • Consultant to company wellness programs “Park and Recreate” to help people discover how to stop to make time to recreate and have fun

Both he and his wife Marsha, facilitate “Get a Life-Have More Fun” Playshops for companies and non-profit organizations.  Participants discover how to make and take time weekly for their special interests, and to value recreation, fitness and volunteering as a way of life.

“Join our Fit Council and help bring this initiative to our community”
