Incorporated in 1975, CONCERNED CITIZENS FOR COMMUNITY HEALTH is a volunteer, non-profit 501 (c)(3)organization whose mission is to develop services for unmet needs in Scottsdale. For over 30 years, CONCERNED CITIZENS has stimulated public awareness and promoted the establishment and expansion of health and welfare services in the community. The organization’s fund raising efforts provide emergency food, clothing, transportation, prescriptions, rent and utility assistance to hundreds of families in need each year. CONCERNED CITIZENS is also active in supporting youth programs — sponsoring a tutoring program, dance troupe, recreation activities, an international club and promoting education for youth in the community.

Scottsdale Cares is the City of Scottsdale’s voluntary utility bill donation program that supports a variety of human service programs. Initiated in May 1995, Scottsdale Cares has received over $1 million from Scottsdale residents – donated one dollar at a time. Scottsdale Cares is an easy way to help neighbors in need by adding $1.00 to your monthly water bill. Simply pay the grand total and $1.00 will be automatically donated to the program. 100% of your donation goes to our neighbors in need and is completely tax deductible. Your generous donations assist non-profit agencies who provide programs for thousands of individuals facing tough times in our community.

Singleton Moms is a small, Arizona-based non-profit with a mighty vision.  We are dedicated to nurturing single parents battling cancer and their minor children.  We do this by meeting the practical day-to-day needs of the entire family, while providing hope for tomorrow.

Our resources are based solely upon community support.  Donor support allows us to reach more parents.  The single most impactful way you can make a difference in the lives of these families is through monetary support.  This enables us, through our essential programs, to reach more single Arizona parents struggling to simply make it through the day-to-day challenges while battling cancer.

Mission: To support foster and indigent families at times of crisis or need by providing to them basic essentials such as bedding, clothes, personal effects, holiday and special occasion toys, school supplies and emergency assistance. Formerly known as the Scottsdale Foundation for the Handicapped, STARS was founded in 1973 by a small group of parents concerned with the lack of resources for their developmentally disabled children. Affectionately referred to as “Las Madrinas” (the Godmothers), what started in a small, donated trailer with only a few participants and volunteers has become an organization with two thriving locations that serve 200 individuals everyday.
